Terry Branstad to Receive Immigrant Champion Award
The 10th Annual Event will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 in Ankeny, Iowa
DES MOINES, IOWA — September 27, 2017 — The Board of the Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit (IES) announced the winners for the 2017, and 10th Annual, Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit awards. The IES award winners are recognized in the following categories: Immigrant Entrepreneur Leadership Award, Outstanding Immigrant Business Award, Karen Evans Immigrant Champion Award and Immigrant Spirit Award—each of which demonstrate the success and advocacy of immigrant entrepreneurs.
Among the recipients is U.S. Ambassador to China Terry Branstad, who will receive the Karen Evans Immigrant Champion Award. The award is given to a non-immigrant who is dedicated to making a positive impact on the immigrant community. As a past keynote speaker, Branstad displays his dedication and is a long-time supporter and advocate of the Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit.

Immigrant Spirit Award
The Immigrant Spirit Award is given to a first generation Immigrant who has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to professional/business excellence and altruistic pursuits.
The mission of IES is to bring businesses of diverse backgrounds together to share, learn and celebrate the immigrant entrepreneurship experience and its contribution to the overall community. The 10th Annual summit will exhibit the success stories of immigrant entrepreneurs, and business owners will share ideas for business growth and their keys to success.
