Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit Aided in the Formation of More Than 100 New Business in Iowa

Des Moines, IOWA — November 4, 2013 — The Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit (IES) continues to be proven successful with the number of businesses established following the seminar. Each year more than 100 businesses are started from among the participants. Examples of companies formed include: Chen Realty, LLC; M & A Cleaning Corporation; Many Voices One Community; and Professional Siding — all established in 2012 after IES.

The daylong conference, on November 9, 2013, will be held at Drake University’s Olmsted Center and begins at 9 a.m.

Participants have access to more than 15 hands-on business seminars that will either help them start or grow their business. Last year IES drew in more than 420 participants.

The mission of IES is to bring businesses of diverse backgrounds together to share, learn and celebrate the immigrant entrepreneurship experience and its contribution to the overall community. The summit will exhibit the success stories of immigrant entrepreneurs, and business owners will share ideas for business growth and their keys to success. Participants will be able to network and learn from others in a non-competitive and supportive environment.
